The Institution's Innovation and Students Activity Council (II&SAC) functions as the central coordinating body responsible for the effective planning, execution, and promotion of activities related to the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), along with a wide spectrum of co-curricular and extracurricular engagements. These include cultural, literary, technical, sports, and social activities aimed at fostering creativity, innovation, leadership, and teamwork among students.
The Council plays a pivotal role in nurturing an ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship by organizing workshops, seminars, expert lectures, idea competitions, hackathons, and incubation-related initiatives under the ambit of IIC. Simultaneously, it ensures the smooth conduct of various student-centric activities such as cultural festivals, technical fests, literary events, sports meets, and community outreach programs.
II&SAC is also responsible for encouraging active student participation, identifying and nurturing talent, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and instilling values of social responsibility and ethical conduct. Regular feedback from students is sought to continuously improve the quality and relevance of activities.
Through its structured and inclusive approach, the Council strives to create a vibrant campus environment that supports the holistic development of students, enhancing their intellectual, emotional, physical, and professional competencies.

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education Initiative (Government of India) conducts a diverse range of activities categorized as MIC-driven and self-driven activities to systematically promote innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship within the institution.
MIC-driven activities are those prescribed and guided by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC). These activities are conducted as per the defined calendar and framework provided by MIC. They include sessions on innovation and entrepreneurship, intellectual property rights (IPR), start-up ecosystem awareness, design thinking, problem-solving, and prototype development. The objective of these activities is to align the institution with national innovation initiatives and ensure uniform exposure of students and faculty to key aspects of innovation and start-up culture.
In addition to this, the IIC actively organizes self-driven activities, which are conceptualized and executed by the institution based on its own strengths, local needs, and emerging trends. These activities include workshops, seminars, technical competitions, hackathons, field visits, interaction with industry experts, alumni talks, and innovation challenges. Self-driven initiatives provide flexibility to address region-specific problems, encourage grassroots innovation, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration among students. Our students are encouraged to participate in bootcamps, Innovista, and various IIC activities organized under the aegis of institutions of national repute such as IITs, NITs, and other premier institutes.
Both MIC-driven and self-driven activities collectively contribute to building a vibrant innovation ecosystem in the institute. They encourage students to think creatively, develop entrepreneurial mindsets, and apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems, thereby supporting their overall academic and professional growth.
